- Tracking Convention Mortgage Rates ~ Freddie Mac/pmms
- Track the 10-year Treasury Yield. Rates will follow if the yield is up or down. Mortgage rates have nothing to do with the Federal Reserve.
- What goes up always comes down. I would rather pay less for a house and refinance when mortgage rates adjust. Housing prices were getting out of control and this is a great way to slow them down.
- As you can see by the graph we are just moving into a more NORMAL HOUSING MARKET. The last housing boom was in 2000 and Mortgage Rates were at 8.62%.
